Winter Blend is our warmest brew - bursting with ripe flavour notes of cherry, orange and nutmeg with a smooth, buttery finish. This coffee is the perfect accompaniment for cosy winter days.

From Nicaragua, we source beans from medium and small-scale producers from Datanlí. This town and its community are famous for being self-sufficient, and are a unique example of the coexistence between humans and the environment.  

The name Datanlí comes from the mountains part of the nature reserve Datanlí-El Diablo. Datanlí is an indigenous word meaning “where water falls”. The region has a rich and diverse ecosystem, where water from the top of the mountains flows down to the farms - creating the perfect climatic conditions to produce a coffee full of body and sweet, syrupy notes. 

To create a balanced blend, we chose an Ethiopian coffee full of fruitiness and vibrancy. In the well-known region of Guji - Sharro is produced by small farmers in the District of Kercha, and processed by Kerchanse, on the border of the Dawa River. 

Historically, farmers in this area were debilitated by the lack of access to the market, with most farms being a full day’s drive from the nearest trading centres. Committed to making a positive impact, Israel Degfa established Kerchanse in 2016 - a processing station focused on supporting farmers and producing high-quality coffees from this unique region.

The contributing farmers are all registered and part of the Kerchanse support network that connects smallholders and their families with access to healthcare, education, and agricultural support.
